Just write already!
It’s been over a year since Malaysia started to impose MCO (Movement Control Order) due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. I’m starting to feel drained by all that’s happening around since this pandemic began so now I have decided to start writing a blog with hopes to declutter my mind and to make peace with the present.
To begin with, I’m not a stranger in writing my thoughts down but a stranger in writing publicly. I have always made a habit to have a small notebook near my workstation and whenever I feel under pressured or a “eureka” moment hits me, I would write it down. Writing has always been an escape to me, I would feel as if it’s like a therapy by writing my thoughts onto a piece of paper and having my fingers smudged by ink, a common problem experienced by all lefties.
Since this would be my first blog post in a very long time, I have decided to include a random picture I have taken in 2018 and look back on what happened on that day.
As far as my memory could recall, this was the day I went on a date with someone whom I matched with on Tinder. Prior to this photo was taken, we went to Batu Caves and I can still remember vividly how crowded it was that time. There were tourists, kids, people of different backgrounds all came to visit one of the oldest (if not the oldest), attraction in Kuala Lumpur. I miss looking at people's smiling expression without their masks on. It’s very hard to know someone’s facial expression nowadays, the only way to know if the person is smiling or not is by looking whether their eyes are half-closed or not but then again each person has their unique way of smiling so having a mask on not only protects us from COVID-19, it would also mask half of our facial expressions away.
Okay that’s it for now, I think next time I will include an image and start writing about it just like what I did on this post.
